He enlisted in the Navy on July 9, 1942 and was discharged on November 16, 1945. He served as a Leading Seaman in Canada and on the High Seas. GALLANT, Raymond J. Corill “Ray” WWII Raymond was born in Bloomfield District, son of John C. and Julia Gallant. He enlisted in the Army on January 12, 1943 and was discharged on July 12, 1946. He served as a Sapper in the #6 District Depot C.A. in Canada. GALLANT, Mitchell James “Mick” WWII Mitchell was born in Bloomfield District, son of Peter Urbang and Elizabeth (Perry) Gallant. He enlisted in the Army on May 6, 1943 and was discharged on January 8, 1946. He served as a Private in the Royal Canadian Artillery and Carleton York Regiment in the United Kingdom and Continental Europe.
