W. and Sophia (Burdette) Taylor. His siblings were Stanley, Emmeline, Gordon, Sophia. He spent several of his earlier years in Trail, BC and Halifax. He enlisted in World War II in 1939 and following the war settled in Rice Point. He married Rae MacNeill in 1942. Raymond returned to Prince Edward Island and settled in Rice Point in 1948. He and Rae had no children. He passed away in 1963. STEWART, John Malcolm KOREA & PEACETIME Sgt John Malcolm Stewart was born in Caledonia, PEI in 1931, he joined the military in 1950. He was a veteran of the Korean War and member of the Canadian Armed Forces (RCAMC). He served in the following: 1950-1951 Trained Forth Lewis, Washington April 1951 Sailed for Pusan Korea on the Marine Adder June 1952 #1 Airborne Medical Sect. Camp Borden 1952 Completed Parachute Jump Training, Rivers, Manitoba 1955 Group III Operating Room Course, Kingston, Ontario October 1957-November 1959 North West Europe Werl, Germany 1959-1965 #2 Airborne Medical Section Camp Borden 1962 Medical Air Evacuation Course 1965-1970 Camp Borden Station Hospital 1969-1970 Medical Assistant Level III Kingston, Ontario 1970-1974 CF Hospital Stadacona Halifax, NS 1974-1977 Air Rescue CF Base Hospital, Summerside, PEI John retired from the Canadian Forces in 1977 after 28 years of service. Following retirement, he and Ella returned to his Island home in Caledonia. John passed away at his home, with family and friends by his side, on December 5, 2014, at the age of 83. He was the beloved husband of 65 years to Ella Langille (Tattrie) and loving father of Malcolm (Lynda), Paris, Ontario; Wanda (Kevin) Curley, Brooklyn, P.E.I.; John (Diane), Charlottetown; and Cathy (Charles) Kirk, Ponoka, Alberta. He was predeceased by daughter Sandra.
