He served as a Sergeant in the North Nova Scotia Highlanders, Royal Canadian Infantry Corps and First Battalion PEI Regiment. WELLS, William “Howard” WWII William was born in Alberton District, the son of John and Alice (McCue) Wells. He enlisted in the Army on November 12, 1940 and was discharged on October 27, 1945. He served as a Private in the Corps of Royal Canadian Electric and Mechanical Engineers in Canada, the UK, Central Mediterranean and Continental Europe.
