VETERANS’ SERVICE RECOGNITION BOOK – VOLUME 20 / 25 THE LEGION IN THE COMMUNITY A $1000 perpetual Bursary was awarded to Tori DesRoche by Comrades George Dalton and Gale Mueller of Branch #5, George R. Pearkes VC of Summerside, PE. The George R. Pearkes VC Branch #5 of Summerside presented a $1000 Bursary to Miss Emma Harris which was presented by her Great Grandfather Comrade Ellsworth Campbell on looking is 1st Vice President Comrade Gale Mueller. The George R. Pearkes V.C. Branch in Summerside paid honours to one of their Korean Veterans by presenting him with a life membership in the Royal Canadian Legion. Presenting the life membership is 1st Vice President Comrade Gayle Mueller who is honored to present the award to Veteran of Korean War Comrade David Vessey. PEI Command are presenting Veteran of WWII, Comrade Blanche Bennett, with a congratulatory letter from Dominion President Comrade Bruce Julian on her 100th Birthday. Presenting this award on the right is Past Provincial President Comrade Duane MacEwen, left is Provincial Chair Comrade John Yeo.
