He enlisted in the Air Force and served with the Special Reserve in France, Belgium, Holland, and Germany during World War II. For his service, he received the 1939-1945 Star, France and Germany Star, and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp. John passed away in 1962. COUTURE, Mario J.W. SPECIAL DUTY AREA & PEACETIME Mario was born in Rosemère, Quebec in 1963. He served in the Navy on ships HMCS Nipigon, Algonquin, Gatineau, Ville de Quebec, Vancouver and Winnipeg in the former Yugoslavia and Persian Gulf. Mario received the CD2, FY, Peacekeeping and SSM. He is a six-year member of The Royal Canadian Legion Wellington Branch 17. CORNFOOT, John Charles WWI John was born in Charlottetown, PEI in 1878. He served with the N.W.M.P. from 1900 to 1901, the North African Constabulary from 1901 to 1902, and the First World War in the 36th Battery C.F.A. from 1916 to 1918. John passed away in 1918.
