VETERANS’ SERVICE RECOGNITION BOOK – VOLUME 20 / 53 THE ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND COMMAND FALL, Willard Carrier WWII Willard was born in Hampton, Prince Edward Island on May 24, 1921, the son of Clarke and Eva (Sherren) Fall. He was a veteran of World War II after serving with the Army on stand-by in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He was married to Marguerite (Ince) and had three children, Wayne, Fred, and June. Willard passed away on January 8, 2008, at the South Shore Villa in Crapaud, PEI. ECKLEY, William Henry PEACETIME William was born in Toronto on February 18, 1930, only son of Henry Eckley and Emily (née) Reynolds. Pre-deceased by his sister Mrs. Yvonne Hawke and grandson Matthew. Best friend and loving companion of Barbara Helen Bolger. Bill joined the RCAF in 1948 as an AC2 and retired in 1978 as a LCol. He was awarded the Canadian Forces Decoration and two bars, together with the Queen’s Silver Jubilee Medal. After his retirement Bill joined the Canada Pension Commission/Veterans Affairs Canada from which he retired in 1991. He was a member of Trent Lodge #38, AF&AM, GRC, a life member of St. Johns Lodge #1, F&AM, GRPEI, Cape Breton Preceptory #43, KT. and Tunis Temple #179, AAONMS. Past president and member of the United Services Officers’ Club of Charlottetown, member of the RCAFA, an associate Member of the RCAF Pre-War Club of Canada and member of Royal Canadian Legion #1 Charlottetown.
