GALLANT, John Francis “Jack” WWII John was born in Bloomfield District, the son of Daniel John and Isabel Mary (Blanchard) Gallant. He enlisted in the Army on May 15, 1940 and was discharged on December 13, 1945. He served as a Private in the Hamilton Rifles in Canada, Newfoundland and Continental Europe.
