VETERANS’ SERVICE RECOGNITION BOOK – VOLUME 20 / 79 THE ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND COMMAND MacKAY, Elmore MacLean WWII Elmore was born in Alberton District, son of Wallace and Margaret Ester (McLean) MacKay. He enlisted in the Army on June 28, 1940 and was discharged on September 26, 1945. He served as a Corporal in the United Kingdom, Central Mediterranean, Italy and Continental Europe. MacKAY, Elliott Gordon KOREA Elliott was born in Charlottetown, PEI on April 23, 1933. He was killed while serving in Korea on February 23, 1951, at the age of seventeen. He is buried in the Meadowvale Cemetery in Brampton, Ontario and is remembered on the Meadowvale Wall of Remembrance. MACGILLIVRAY, Roy WWII Roy was born in Glenfanning, PEI in 1907. He served with the Canadian Army, reaching the rank of Major. Ray is deceased.
