VETERANS’ SERVICE RECOGNITION BOOK – VOLUME 20 / 87 THE ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND COMMAND McKENZIE, Charles Haddon Spurgeon WWI Charles served with the 1st Brigade, Canadian Field Artillery. He died on May 7, 1917, at the age of 25. He was the son of John T, McKenzie and Mary MacDonald McKenzie of Prince Edward Island. He was a graduate of McGill College in Montreal. Charles is remembered with honour at the Ecoivres Military Cemetery in Mont-St. Eloi. McKENNA, Harold Edmond WWII Harold was born in Bloomfield District, the son of Alfred “Edward” and Rosetta (Aylward) McKenna. He enlisted in the Army on October 24, 1941 and was discharged on May 9, 1942. He served as a Private in the #6 District Depot M.D. in Canada. McISAAC, Gerald WWII Gerald was born in Fairview to parents Donald and Mary Theresa (Murphy) McIsaac. He had the following siblings: Alexander, Frank, Joseph, Madeline, Louis Charles, Leslie, Douglas who joined the Canadian Army. Gerald served in the United States Army from 1942 until 1946. Following the end of the war, he married and settled in Buffalo, New York. No further details were available.
