THE ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND COMMAND SULLIVAN, George WWII George was born in Cardigan, PEI in 1917. He served with the Canadian Army. George is deceased. STRICKLAND, Victor WWI & WWII Victor served in the Canadian Army with 85th Battalion Nova Scotia Highlanders from 1918 to 1919. He served World War II with Veterans Guard of Canada from 1940 to 1945. Victor is deceased. STEELE, Pius WWII Pius was born in Chepstow, PEI on April 1, 1910. He enlisted in the Army and served with the PEI Highlanders, North Nova Scotia Highlanders in Canada, Newfoundland, France and Belgium during World War II. He went overseas on May 6, 1944 and was in the invasion on Juno Beach in June 1944. Pius was a prisoner of war and in a work camp in Germany from August 20, 1944 to April 15, 1945. He received the France and Germany Star, 1939-1945 Star, Defence Medal, 1939-1945 King George Medal, and Canadian Volunteer Service Medal. Pius passed away in January 1997.
