THOMSON, Elwin Earl WWII Elwin was born in the Bloomfield District, son of Earl and May (MacNeill) Thomson. He enlisted in the Army on September 3, 1939 and was discharged in March 1946. He served as a Gunner in the Signals Corp in Newfoundland, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Belgium, Holland, and England.
