He enlisted about mid-way through the war (1942) and served with the Royal Canadian Air Force in Newfoundland for the duration of the war. Pius passed away in 2001. CULLEN, Richard John WWII Richard was born in Sherwood, PEI in 1909, son of T. P. Cullen and Frances (Landrigan). He enlisted in the Canadian Army in 1940 with the North Nova Scotia Highlanders. He served in England and took part in the D-Day landings and the liberation of Holland, being in Europe until the end of the war. Dick passed away in New Zealand in 1978. CRANE, Edward WWII Edward was born on July 1, 1918 on PEI. He enlisted on December 20, 1939 and served in the Royal Canadian Navy as Chief Petty Officer. He served in the North Atlantic and Halifax. Edward is deceased.
