He served with the Canadian Army in Italy, France and Germany from 1942 to 1945. Charles has passed away. MacLENNAN, Chester WWII Chester was born in Victoria West, PEI in 1919. He served with the North Nova Scotia Highlanders from 1941 to 1945. Chester passed away in 2004. MacLEAN, Henry Willis WWI Henry was from the Alberton District, son of Charles and Mary Adeline (Richard) Gallant. He enlisted during World War I in the Army from April 13, 1916 and was discharged on July 16, 1919. He served as a Private in the 105th and 26th Battalions in Canada, England and France. Henry was injured in the war and received a Military Medal for bravery in the field.
